YAYYY!!! I finally received my first
Beautybox today (a few hours ago actually). People who haven't received it yet, don't read this blogpost since I will unbox and show all products which are inside xD. Lets see what's inside the
Beautybox of March 2012 shall we :)?
I'm loving the packaging! It looks so neat and the color matches perfectly! Once you open the box, you can see a card inside with a short introduction about the box and at the back you can see a list of the products including descriptions and prizes of the full size products. This box includes 3 full size products, 3 sample size products and 2 vouchers. Sounds good right? The box is €12,50 per month.
The vouchers are from LookLX make up (10% off) and Ariana inden (€10.- off).
EmerginC - multi fruit cleanser (full size, 240 ml) : it's a soap free cleanser which removes make-up, dead skincells and impurities without drying out the skin. Hmmm.. I'm very curious to try this out! I received the full size of this cleanser and it's worth €35.-. WOW!
Orofluido - Beauty elixir (sample size, 5 ml) : according to the text this will make your hair soft and shiny. I'm not really interested in this product though =/ so I probably won't try this. Full size is €25,50 for 100 ml.
Trind nail polish - dark blue shade (full size, 9 ml) : I'm happy that they included a full size nail polish in this box ^^. The shade looks nice ^^. This is worth €9.95.
Thalgo - Oxygen SOS serum (sample size, 15 ml) : this serum will "repair" your skin and will make your skin more comfortable, great for people who stress a lot lol. The full size product cost €50,30 for 30 ml. I received the sample size which is 15 ml, so it's worth €25,15.
LookX - Mascara Ultra Lash of Mascara Ultra Lash (full size, 8 ml) : this mascara will make your eyelashes longer. It's worth €20,95.
Swarovski eau de parfum - Aura (sample size, 5 ml) : the packaging looks lovely but it was very hard to open it! The scent is nice but a bit overwhelming to me. I received the sample size product but the full size is worth €76.- for 50 ml.
My opinion
This box is actually worth €100.- according to the prizes on the card and I only paid €12,50 for it! As you can see the box is quite full and there are 3 full size products in it which is A LOT! However, if you want to ask me if I like the products... Well, I never heard of these brands except for the Trind nail polish and Swarovski. Eventhough I like to try out new products, I'm not really interested in the products that I received. To be honest I'm only interested in trying out 2 products in this box which is the cleanser and nail polish... =/ Will I try out the rest which are in this box? I doubt that >.<" .. I probably will cancel my subscription and try out other beauty boxes. What do you think of this box?

ReplyDeleteI don't understand you, this is the best box I have ever seen! And I will try each product because they are worth it and I like them all. Read the comments and you will see that you are the only one who will cancel her subscription and tryout other boxes. On the internet you can see that they are not that beautiful as this one. So is there an other reason for your negative comment? You do know that the products in the box are for trying and always a surprise, so what do you expect? If you don't like that you will be disappointed with the other boxes too
ReplyDeleteFirst of all.. the above text that i wrote in the blogpost is MY OPINION. Secondly, I do know many people who unsubscribed after receiving this box. And yes, I do agree that it's worth the money if you look at the prizes its actually worth €100.- (like i said in the blogpost). However, Am I really interested in the products that I received? NO.. and this is different to EVERY PERSON. It's just MY OPINION. I like to try out new products but THESE?! These just don't appeal to me.

I've only tried Julep but I reealllyyyy wanna try MyGlam but they don't ship to Canada :(
Next month there will be another beautybox out from a different company. I'm going to try that out :). Hmm.. I read a lot of bad things about myglam online though >.<" .. Have you heard about the sticker on a different product thing??
ReplyDeleteI got the box as well and I can understand why Elisa isn't that happy about it. It differs per person and one person can be happy with what they received, yet others feel a bit let down. I mean, I needed a new mascara and I was running out on my cleanser, so this is perfect for me. But if you really don't need anything and you're not that familiar with the brands, I can understand being disappointed. The vouchers aren't that great imo. I dunno, but I would be a lot happier trying out new products when they are by brands that I knew a little about.

Thank you for this blogpost! I was keeping my eyes out on beauty boxes too, but after seeing this box from Beautybox I can relate to why you're not keen of it. Personally a lot of brands that they included doesn't ring a bell in my ears either and if I were you, I wouldn't test it out either due to the unfamiliarity of the brands.

ReplyDeleteGood Lord, do you work for Beautybox or something? LOL xD I understand why she wasn't over the moon with the box. I personally wouldn't have been interested in this box either...the brands are difficult to get and not very mainstream.
ReplyDeleteThat's a big reason why I personally haven't signed up for a beautybox type of subscription yet, I'd be so disappointed if I ended up with vague brands that I had never even heard of/that don't have many online reviews, etc.
yeah i understand what you're trying to say and i do agree with you. I rather try out some products of brands which are familiar =.=".. it just feels more trustworthy to try it out.. I'm just disappointed since i expected other brands in this box =.=".

ReplyDeleteAwww I miss beauty boxes. The excitement of not knowing what you're getting is so much fun. The thing I like most about this box is the Swarovski parfum

ReplyDeleteBecause you don't know the brand so u think it isn't worth of trying? I think that is silly :) I'm always eager to try some new brands because you can find something better than your current products. And beauty box is for trying different things not only for something on your safe-zone. That's my opinion :P

ReplyDeletehet was MOEILIJK!!! maar uiteindelijk wel gewoon open gekregen door dat onderste gedeelte heel hard te trekken en beetje draaien.. maar pas wel op dat je 'm rechtop houdt want de parfum kan eruit gaan omdat de opening van je parfum gewoon open is (if you know what i mean) =.=" ..
